42m Alive displays the excellent sea keeping and fuel-efficient properties of her Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) and Hull Vane—the first yacht to be fitted with both innovations. Devised by Van Oossanen Naval Architects, these two technical features serve to increase speed and lower fuel consumption by reducing resistance and increasing lift. This is no idle boast but a fact proven at two of the world’s most respected hydrodynamic laboratories – the Wolfson Unit and Marin – and confirmed at sea.

Despite her revolutionary naval architecture, the exterior and interior design display the poise and grace of a modern gentleman’s yacht. The owner requested an unusual but family-oriented interior layout with authentic décor comprising rich fabrics in soft, natural tones and bespoke joinery in classic Maccassar ebony. High-tech yet graceful, Alive is a study in advanced engineering and sophisticated design.
